Scanning Devices Console-driven Display Systems

Console-driven displays provide convenient and reliable manual entry and control of remote numeric displays.

Console-driven display systems are applicable to:

Service Line Queue Management in Trucking and Distribution

Truck dispatching or calling in transfer stations, cement plants, aggregate filling, quarries, warehouses and distribution points. Enter and display a truck ID to call the truck for service.

Result and Status Reporting

Timing, counting, scoring, voting, bidding, weighing, etc. Any situation where a numeric display can report results.

Console contains these easy-to-use operator features.
  • Sixteen key telephone-style pad for numeric entry and data control
  • Two line back-lit LCD display, one line for each display station
  • Red and Green lights to indicate which line is currently active
  • Sloping front panel for easy viewing
  • Rubber feet for stable desk or counter use
  • Screw terminals for data wiring
  • Power switch and grounded line cord for 110 VAC input

Here is what the Operator does
  • Selects the station by pushing the Sta 1 or Sta 2 key (a light on the console responds to show the selected station)
  • Enter a number with a telephone-like keypad - up to six digits
  • View the number as it is entered to make sure it is right
  • Push Send.

The number is transmitted to the Station Display and becomes visible. It stays visible until changed or blanked by the operator.

System Components


Pricing and Installation

Pricing starts at $925.00 (Operator Console plus smallest LED display) and depends on number and type of displays selected.

Installation requires mounting displays for visibility and data wiring between operator console and displays. Displays and operator console require 110 VAC power input. For alternate power options, contact Scanning Devices Inc.
