Scanning Devices supports the iConnection with a demonstration software and a Software Development Kit (SDK) which allow developers to implement in a variety of development environments and with different levels of control. Developers' iConnection

Scanning Devices also offers a special Developers iConnection, part number 3033D, which may be integerated with POSE, the Palm OS Emulator, for fast development, testing and deployment on PC.

High Level Function Library

For those familiar with Palm OS and Metrowerks Code Warrior (the Official Develoment Environment for Palm), the iConnection Libraries will make you feel right at home. The iConnection Manager and the Themochron manager are consistent in form and function to Palm OS functions. They make Palm memory allocation and serial port operations painless!

What, you don't believe that! Take a look at an example which compares reading an iButton with IConntection with reading a Palm database. Well OK, almost painless!

The iConnection Command Set

For more direct control over Palm memory, serial port operations, timing and error handling, the application developer may choose to work with the iConnection command set directly.

Some customers have even implemented iConnection applications outside the standard development environment, using alternate development tools.
