New options are now available to help users setup and start thermochron missions using their Palm Handheld, including a setup wizard that guides the user through a series of Palm screens to collect necessary mission data. Other setup aids use a database template and a user preference construction. New Thermochron Viewer and support for print and print preview of temperature graphs has also been added.

Scanning Devices Bluetooth Starter Module is now available.
Bluetooth starter module enables wireless machine setup and monitoring with mobile handheld devices, linking stationary digital inputs, digital outputs and RS232 communication ports your PDA.
The Scanning Devices Bluetooth Starter module is packaged in a DIN-rail housing suitable for machinery installations. It connects to field signals via screw terminals.
Scanning Devices provides sample application programs to demonstrate wireless machine interfaces and simplify installation.

New iConnection Model 3305m is now available for Palm Handhelds m125, m130, m500, m515 and i705 (wireless).
This new iConnection allows iButton applications deployed on Palm III and Palm m100 Handhelds to be supported without modification on new Palm models. In addition it supports new applications using features of the new Palms.
At the same time, Scanning Devices Thermochron iButton Application has been extended to support new Dallas/Maxim High Resolution Thermochron iButtons. These iButtons operate in the human temperature range and the freezing temperature range providing high resolution data logging.
Scanning Devices tcButton Application, iConnection, and a Palm combine in to make an economical, complete handheld temperature data logging system.

Scanning Devices Magstripe Reader 2203A for Palm III and Palm VII is now available. The 2203A clips on to the popular Palm Handheld computers and reads three tracks of magnetically encoded data from plastic cards. This reader extends the Scanning Devices 2200 Series Magstripe Readers for Palm. The Series also includes the previously announced, lower cost 2202A two-track clip on for Palm.

This advanced communications technique is applied in Scanning Devices Remote Displays and other communications products to setup data reception without training or knowledge of transmission characteristics. It speeds installation and improves reliability of communications equipment.
The distribution arrangement covers Totalcomp Smart Remotes, products which are used to display weight data. Both lighted and mechanical displays are included in the product line. All incorporate the Scanning Devices Automatic Communications Configuration module, allowing the scale dealer to offer these displays with confidence and without concern for compatibility with a particular scale or weighing indicator.
