The Scanning Devices SRD smart remote digital display is a major advancement in display technology. A single plug-in input connector is used to connect either an RS-232 or a 20 mA serial input signal to the display. After powering the instrument, a learn button is pushed which initiates the analysis of the incoming serial communications and stores the source transmission parameters in non-volatile memory. After power loss, the display automatically resets and quickly displays up to six transmitted digits.

Displays attached to weighing indicators and instruments may also Learn the indicator data formats so that setup is fully automatic.

The "Learn" function is protected under US Patent Number 6,049,888.

The SRD digital display is designed to provide fast digital readings in industrial and process control situations where a remote display is required for operator convenience. A selection of bright yellow reflective electromechanical and bright red LED displays provides excellent readability in any indoor or outdoor location. Digit heights from 0.4" to 6" allow readability from viewing distances up to 240'. Installation with any indicator is quick and easy.
