The Portable Temperature Logging System is an easy-to-use Palm or Windows Mobile Handheld Application to setup and launch a Thermochron mission to start measuring. A few taps on the handheld screen send commands and data to the Thermochron iButton to get measurements started. Then you can monitor status and progress with a few more taps. While logging is underway, you can read the iButton, retrieve and display temperature data and mission settings, graph temperature data, save readings in the handheld database. You can also read an iButton's unique ID and search for it in your handheld database to compare results or check if you have all the readings.
The Portable Temperature Logging System also stores your preferences for mission setup options in the handheld database, so you can be sure that the iButtons are doing what you want. Or use Portable Temperature Logging's Setup Wizard to guide you through a series of handheld screens to capture information necessary to start a mission. Portable Temperature Logging uses the handheld calendar as well. You can setup a mission to start at a specific date and time, learn when it is going to end, or even set multiple iButtons so that they will all start at the same time.
Finally, Portable Temperature Logging includes a hot-sync conduit to move or copy temperature data from the handheld database to your PC. Then you can use the PC application components to do more.

For Palm Handhelds - New Bluetooth based iConnection # 3305w allows you to connect to a Bluetooth Enabled handheld, broadening the range of handhelds available.
For Windows Mobile Handhelds - New Bluetooth based iConnection # 3307w connects to Handhelds supporting the Bluetooth Serial Port Profile (SPP) - most PDA's and Smart Phones offer this capability.
